We are seeking a commercially astute and driven Investment Associate to join our client’s dynamic investment team. This is a unique opportunity for a CA(SA) with strong corporate finance and valuation expertise to play a hands-on role across investment evaluation, portfolio management, and transaction execution.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent work ethic, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed valuations using multiple methodologies, including:
- Discounted Cash Flow (DCF)
- Enterprise Value to EBITDA / EBIT
- Price-to-Earnings (P/E)
- Price-to-Net Asset Value (P/NAV)
- Perform in-depth financial statement and company analysis.
- Execute and support due diligence investigations on potential investments.
- Draft clear, insightful discussion papers and transaction proposals.
- Prepare and deliver portfolio company reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Liaise effectively with portfolio company management teams to gather information and track performance.
- Ensure all deliverables are completed within tight deadlines and to a high professional standard.
- Contribute to investment team discussions and decision-making by presenting clear analysis and recommendations.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- CA(SA) (Chartered Accountant)
Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ corporate finance experience with a strong focus on valuations.
- At least 4 years post-articles experience overall.
- Proven track record in corporate finance, investment analysis, or transaction advisory.
