About the Role

As an Investment Accountant, you will take full responsibility for fund and investment accounting, financial reporting, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Your work will directly support strategic decision-making and drive business growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain general ledgers and reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow statements, and annual financial statements
  • Prepare audit files and respond to audit and statutory valuation requirements
  • Reconcile investments and perform daily money movement analysis
  • Conduct monthly general ledger and bank reconciliations
  • Process journals and submit monthly PAYE returns to SARS
  • Ensure compliance with the Pension Fund Act, FSCA regulations, and fund rules
  • Submit regulatory reports including SARB, C48, B16, Regulation 28, and others

What You’ll Need

  • A Bachelor of Commerce degree with Accounting as a major
  • 5–7 years’ experience in financial services or employee benefits
  • At least 5 years’ experience in fund and investment accounting
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of regulatory reporting (SARS, FSCA, SARB)
