JSE listed ICT leader seeks a Group Financial Reporting Manager.

This is a senior role within the wider Group Financial Reporting team, managing a team of 5 direct reports and will suit someone who has financial reporting and managerial experience, ideally within a listed company.

You will have the ability to inspire, support and develop a small time while also being more than comfortable taking a ‘hands on’ role. Additionally, you will work across the Finance function to support in delivering the Group’s Annual Report and Accounts, Preliminary Announcement and Interim Report, produce Group management information and ensure robust financial controls are maintained.

You will meet the following minimum requirements

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • At least 4 – 5 years’ relevant post qualifications reporting experience, with at least 2 years in the ICT sector
  • Solid working knowledge of IFRS and experience with interpreting technical accounting standards.
  • Knowledge, expertise and experience of the production and delivery of reporting processes in a technology company.
  • Detailed knowledge of financial reporting regulatory requirements and legislatory frameworks
  • Solid fixed assets and prepayments experience
  • Should be meticulous and capable of communicating on any level

Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages
  • Management of the Month End/Year End close process
  • Drive and support in the preparation of Group Statutory Accounts
  • Co-ordination and liaison with group entities with regard to Group audit and other related matters
  • Ensure compliance with internal/external auditor requirements
  • Analytical review of the trial balance
  • Interpreting and implementing International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and being subject matter expert
  • Ensuring that all finance systems and processes are adequately designed to ensure an appropriate control environment and to address all internal audit findings either through specific or process level remedial action.
  • Partnering with the business by effectively leading and managing the financial function for the group of Companies
  • Assisting in the implementation of systems and processes to support the business.

  • Location: Successful incumbent will primarily be based in Johannesburg (Northern Suburbs).
